Proofreading

I trained in proofreading with the Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading (CIEP) and I’m an intermediate member of the society. I proofread fiction and non-fiction for general readers, as well as more academic works in the arts and humanities field. I provide a fresh pair of eyes at the final stage of a project, giving writers the confidence to send their words out into the world, knowing they can feel proud of their work.

I proofread books for publishers, academics and writers. If you would like to discuss a project, please get in touch with a few details about your book. Every project is different and I will provide a quote tailored to your requirements, but to give a rough idea of cost, please see the CIEP's recommended fees. If you would like me to index your book too, a 20% discount will be applied.

Testimonials

“I’m so pleased with the service offered by Anna and highly recommend her to anyone interested in indexing services. Anna was able to distil all the major themes of the text into an index that my readers will find extremely useful when navigating my book. The whole process from start to finish was very smooth, and Anna made this part of the book’s production stress free. Thank you so much!”
